"I felt someone understood me for the first time in a long time and I also felt I could be completely honest about where I was at because I didn't feel judged"

Adult Service

Who's it for?

Any adult drug user residing in Bradford who requires, information, advice, support or treatment.

What we offer

Help for people who have made changes regarding their drug use, but who require relapse prevention skills training, people in crisis requiring immediate support and those experiencing difficulties with issues such as housing, health and relationships. Support is offered through regular counselling sessions - the frequency and type of these will be agreed during the initial assessment stage and identified in the subsequent care plan.

Adult support workers will also help clients access other services that might be appropriate, for example our structured day care programme, for complementary therapies or access to the gym.

For support regarding specific problems around the type of drugs being used – such as stimulants or opiates - referrals are made to the appropriate service or clinic.

One dedicated worker is responsible for co-ordinating all the referrals that come through the Drug Intervention Programme (DIP). The worker tracks the clients and ensures that all our clients’ progress is monitored.
