How to volunteer at Bridge
What do we look for in volunteers?
Experience of drugs or up-to-date knowledge is not essential as comprehensive training and supervision is given and experienced workers will always be at hand.
As we invest a great deal in our volunteers we need people who can offer at least 4 hours per week as well as a commitment to attending training.
Who can volunteer for Bridge?
If you have had experience of problematic drug use in the past, we would welcome your application providing that you have had a year drug-free living in the community.
All sorts of people volunteer. We welcome and support all members of the community and encourage people of any age (over 18) and background to think about volunteering. You may want to make new friends, gain new skills, obtain work experience, help others, or just put something back into the community.
What does the volunteer scheme involve?
After completing induction training Volunteers get the chance to gain practical experience assisting project staff in all areas of the service. We also place volunteers with other drug agencies across Bradford.
